| Audience Questionairre |
In the questionnaire we conducted we asked 20 people of different age groups to give us some feedback about our video to help judge if it was a success and achieved in representing what wewanted to portray. Here is an analysis of what we found.
1. Most of our audience was between the ages of 16-19, nearer to our target audience with a few exceptions of the older generation to see what their view point on the video was.
2. All ratings of our video were between 8-10 meaning they all enjoyed it for similar reasons which we later found out.
3. All males and females asked found they could find conventions we had followed of the drum and bass genre in our video. When we asked what parts of the video followed these specific conventions some of the outcomes were the clubbing scenes we included, a few said the drinking and lighting and others said the drums and balls shown throughout.
4. When it came to defining what sort of video this was the majority circled ‘Performance’ and ‘Concept’ with a few suggesting ‘A bit of all three’. We found this inviting because we infact left it open to the human eye as to what they really thought. We found elements of all ourselves when making it.
5. All participants of the questionnaire said the parts they enjoyed most were the clubbing scenes, the fast upbeat pace throughput the video and the locations whereby I took the camera out driving with me and filmed outside different night life attractions. By doing this, we found it brought it more to life and enabled people to see the buzz and lighting effects of a fun night out.
6. However, like every good video there are negatives. After the questionnaire we looked at the results and found that the walking scenes were an issue as they were classed ‘unsteady’ along with repetition being an issue, a slight lip syncing error and too long on the drinking scenes. Luckily the issues raised here are not major things and with some touch up can be corrected very easily.
7. Finally we asked about any improvements that could help up make this video a greater success in the future. The feedback we received included Gemma’s walking to be steadier with the camera, making the story clearer if there was one and touching up the lip syncing and the transitions between shots.
All together though the video was a hit and we feel personally that the audience feedback showed this enough through their positivity and when watching it, it had them gripped the whole way through.
