Day #7- 28th September 2011

First lesson;

Today we were asked as a group to annotate the lyrics to our chosen song and get ideas and inspiration from it. When we began to listen and look at the music and lyrics and we noticed that at certain parts we could use a lot of symbolism. We observed that the words ‘warrior’ was used metaphorically, therefore we decided to go with this idea and show an actual warrior- we thought that this could symbolise the literal form. This again made ideas flow better and allowed us to be more creative. The music and lyrics also gave us encouragement and ideas of different scenes and shots that we could have in our music video. This prepared us for our second lesson where we were asked to create a story board on our ideas of shots.

Second lesson;

 In our second Media lesson we started on the design of our story board. Here, we had to roughly draw a story board of what scenes and shots we would use in our music video in chronological order. This was quite difficult as the pace of our chosen music varies a lot, therefore we didn’t want to use the same scenes over and over again, because that could get very repetitive and could become tedious. Our aim is to keep the interaction between the music and the audience lasting throughout the song.
